The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, 20 July 1942, takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel (Judge Advocate General’s Corps) Edwin G. Schuck, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from July 1953 to June 1965. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service from 2 July 1956 to 1 June 1960, as announced in General Orders Number 21, Office of the Judge Advocate General, Department of the Army, dated 21 April 1960 and the Army Commendation Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster) for meritorious service from 21 August 1964 to 30 June 1965, as announced in General Orders Number 35, Office of the Judge Advocate General, Department of the Army, dated 8 June 1965.]
