Pitzer, United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States from September 1955 to May 1964. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service from 14 September 1955 to 20 July 1959 as announced in General Orders Number 15, Office of the Judge Advocate General, Department of the Army, dated 6 July 1959.]
