The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to Chief Warrant Officer John E. Brazil, United States Army, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight on 4 October 1962. [This award supersedes award of the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious achievement on 4 October 1962 as announced in General Orders Number 8, Headquarters U. S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, dated 4 February 1963.]
