The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Boatswain’s Mate Second Class Henry Nehemiah Nickerson, United States Navy, for showed extraordinary heroism in the line of his profession on board the U.S.S. Utah, during the seizure of Vera Cruz, Mexico, 21 April 1914.
