(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Second Lieutenant (Infantry) James M. Morris, United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an enemy of the United States while serving with Company K, 3d Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment, 3d Infantry Division, in action at Artena, Italy, on 28 May 1944. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Lieutenant Morris reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
