(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Staff Sergeant Robert L. Miller, United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry in action while serving with the 95th Infantry division, in the rescue of a wounded comrade in the face of heavy enemy machine gun fire, during an assault on Ft. Bois la Darne, France, on 14 November 1944. When Staff Sergeant Miller returned to his platoon there were five bullet holes in his field jacket as a result of his gallant deed. Staff Sergeant Miller’s intrepid conduct reflects great credit on him and on the military service.
