The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Technical Sergeant Toy T. Fisher (ASN: 34012936), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 117th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy on 6 April 1945, in Germany. Learning that the enemy were to blow up an underpass, Technical Sergeant Fisher disregarded all obstacles to move through intense enemy fire to go to the bridge, where he killed two of the enemy and captured a third, thereby preventing them from blowing it up. His gallant actions allowed supporting tanks to continue their advance and gain the objective. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Technical Sergeant Fisher, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
