Headquarters, 30th Infantry Division, General Orders No. 185 (July 12, 1945)

The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Private First Class Harry Bramson (ASN: 36779584), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division, in action against the enemy on 26 March 1945, in Germany. Private First Class Bramson gallantly exposed himself to fierce enemy fire to restore and maintain communications between his commanding officer and a group of friendly tanks and tank destroyers. His heroic efforts materially assisted the armor in negotiating a tank trap and enabled the armor to support the infantry attack, facilitating the advance. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Private First Class Bramson, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
