(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pride in presenting the Silver Star (Posthumously) to Captain (Infantry) Arthur Henry Truxes, Jr. (ASN: 0-27834), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with Company F, 2d Battalion, 7th Cavalry (Infantry) Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in action against the enemy in the vicinity of Hampori, Korea on 13 October 1950. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Captain Truxes, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
