The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to First Lieutenant Pablo V. Sison, Philippine Army, for gallantry in action while serving with the 21st Infantry, in action against the enemy on 13 March 1942. In the face of heavy enemy fire, he led a daring counterattack beyond the Abo-Abo River, Bataan, which resulted in the capture of a Japanese machine gun nest and the destruction of its defenders. Lieutenant Sison then continued his pursuit of the enemy until wounded by a Japanese grenade.
