Roderick (ASN: 0-7383), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility as Deputy Assistant Chief and later as Chief of the Intelligence Staff in North Africa, during the period 1 March 1944 to 21 September 1944. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of General Roderick reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Army.
