(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to First Lieutenant (Infantry) Lawrence James Ogden (ASN: 0-59372), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with and Infantry Company of the 8th Cavalry (Infantry) Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, in action against the enemy in Korea from 1950 to 1962. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by First Lieutenant Ogden, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Colonel Ogden and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army.
