Leonard Fribourg entered Marine Corps Reserve service in 1942 and served on active duty from 1953 until he retired as a U.S. Marine Corps Brigadier General in 1974. He helped found Toys for Tots, a national campaign orchestrated by the Marines to provide toys for needy children at Christmas.
