The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel (Field Artillery) George Alexander Aubrey (ASN: 0-23110), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility, during the period from January 1957 to November 1965. [This award supersedes award of the Legion of Merit (First Oak Leaf Cluster) awarded to Colonel Aubrey for exceptionally meritorious service from July 1963 to December 1964, as announced in Department of the Army, General Orders No. 35, dated 27 October 1965.]
