(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Specialist Fourth Class Kenneth Edward Aleshire (ASN: 52811053), United States Army, was awarded the Silver Star (Posthumously) for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in action against a hostile force in the Republic of Vietnam. Specialist Fourth Class Aleshire distinguished himself by intrepid actions on while serving with Company C, 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. His unquestionable valor in close combat is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the 25th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
