(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Keith J. Anderson (ASN: 0-417393), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with Troop D, 90th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized), 10th Armored Division, in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

Anderson (ASN: 0-417393), United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving with Troop D, 90th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized), 10th Armored Division, at Silbret, Germany, on 22 December 1944. Braving intense enemy fire, Captain Anderson, Troop Commander, personally reconnoitered an enemy held town, obtaining information of high military value. His gallant achievement reflects great credit upon himself and the military forces of the United States.
