Colonel Adams performed the almost impossible, sending ammunition by long, about routes, and at times fighting off far-ranging Germans with a collection of cooks, clerks, truck drivers, mechanics, and others. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Colonel Adams, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
