George Sweet graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Class of 1898. He retired as a U.S. Navy Commander.

Powers Symington graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Class of 1892. He retired as a U.S. Navy Captain.
