No. 43, W.D., 1918), Private Henry Fuoss (ASN: 2192749), United States Army, is cited by the Commanding General, American Expeditionary Forces, for gallantry in action and a silver star may be placed upon the ribbon of the Victory Medals awarded him. Private Fuoss distinguished himself by gallantry in action while serving with Machine Gun Company, 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Division, American Expeditionary Forces, in action during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive, France, 30 September 1918, in aiding in bringing a wounded man to the first-aid station through a concentrated machine gun barrage.
