Aiezza, Jr. (ASN: 32739686), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with Company E, 2d Battalion, 318th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division, in action against enemy forces near Erfurt, Germany, on 10 April 1945. His unquestionable valor in close combat is in keeping with the highest traditions of the military service and reflects great credit upon himself, the 80th Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
