After graduation from Allegheny College, Thomas Nicholson was assigned to Officer Candidate School, Quantico, Virginia, where he was awarded “Platoon Honor Man” at graduation, and was commissioned in the Marine Corps in December 1970. He retired as a United States Marine Corps Brigadier General.
