Charles Brown was commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps program in 1984 upon graduation from Texas Tech University. In 2009 he was appointed a U.S. Air Force Brigadier General, received his second star in 2013, and in 2015 was appointed Lieutenant General. In 2020 he was appointed by President Trump as the 22d Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
