During World War II, Clarence Anderson became a U.S. Army Air Forces TRIPLE ACE, credited with shooting down 16.25 enemy aircraft in aerial combat. He was a test pilot at Wright Field following the end of World War II, commanded an F-86 squadron in the Korean War, and Commanded a Tactical Fighter Wing in Vietnam, before retiring in 1972 as a U.S. Air Force Colonel.
