(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Robert H. Wertheim, United States Navy, was awarded the Navy Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States, as Project Director for the Trident I Project from October 1973 to October 1979. The Trident’s development was completed within 6 percent of the initial cost estimate with unit production cost below the design-to-cost figures. His singularly distinctive accomplishments and his dedicated contributions in the service of his country reflect the highest credit upon himself and were in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Naval Service.
