    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Technician Fifth Grade Marvin B. Lindley (ASN: 15047385), United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with the 27th Armored Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Armored Division, in action against enemy forces near Campo di Carne, Italy, on 21 and 22 February 1944. Technician Fifth Grade Lindley aided in the evacuation of several wounded through an area under severe artillery shelling while proceeding forward to an Observation Post. His extraordinary heroism, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
