(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Chef de Battalion Jean Lahache, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with 7th Regiment Tirailleurs Algeriens, 3d Algerian Infantry, French Army, in action against enemy forces in Italy, on 25 to 28 August 1944. Chef de Battalion Lahache’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
