(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: Rear Admiral Robert F. Duncan, United States Coast Guard, was awarded the Coast Guard Distinguished Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished service in a position of great responsibility to the Government of the United States as the Federal Coordinator for the Iraqi Overseas Registration and Voting for the southern region of the United States. In August and September 2005, Rear Admiral Duncan led the Coast Guard’s rescue and recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. His historic response addressed the worst natural disaster in our nation’s history. The singularly distinctive accomplishments of Rear Admiral Duncan and his dedicated contributions reflect the highest credit upon himself and the United States Coast Guard.
