(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Sous-Lieutenant Francois Ferrucci, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with 7th Regiment de Tirailleurs Algeriens, 3d Algerian Infantry Division, French Army, in action against enemy forces in France on the drive for Marseilles and in the forest fighting at Foret de Longeguette in the Vosges, and the crossing of the Meselotte on 10 and 11 October 1944. Sous-Lieutenant Ferrucci’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
