Thomas Morgan was commissioned in the Marine Corps in 1952 after graduating from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York. From June 1, 1986 to June 30, 1988 he served as the 21st Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, before retiring as a United States Marine Corps General.
