The President of the United States of America, in the name of Congress, takes pleasure in presenting the Medal of Honor to Sergeant Thaddeus Brown Glover, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism on 10 April 1879 and 10 February 1880, while serving with Troop B, 2d U.S. Cavalry, in action at Mizpah and Pumpkin Creek, Montana. While in charge of small scouting parties, Sergeant Glover fought, charged, surrounded, and captured war parties of Sioux Indians.
