Leonard Tadios was interned as a Prisoner of War in Southeast Asia after he was captured in South Vietnam on December 11, 1964 and was held until his death in captivity believed to have occurred on or about March 18, 1966. His remains have never been recovered.

    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal with Combat “V” to Staff Sergeant Leonard Masayon Tadios, United States Army, for heroic achievement in action against an armed enemy of the United States while serving as an Advisor with the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam, and subsequently as a Prisoner of War, from 1964 to 1966. His courage, zeal, sound judgment and devotion to duty have been in keeping with the highest traditions of the United States Army and reflect great credit on him and the Military Service.
