The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Army Distinguished Service Medal to Colonel (Infantry) Donald D. Dickson (ASN: 0-32531), United States Army, for exceptionally meritorious and distinguished services to the Government of the United States, in a duty of great responsibility, during the period from August 1966 to April 1967. [This award supersedes award of the Legion of Merit awarded to Colonel Dickson, under provisions of paragraph 7i, AR 672-5-1, by the Commanding General, United States Continental Army Command, Fort Monroe, Virginia 23351.]
