The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private First Class Milton M. Meszaros (ASN: 33842391), United States Army, for heroism not involving actual conflict with an armed enemy while serving with Anti-tank Company, 253d Infantry Regiment, 63d Infantry Division, on 13 April 1945, in the vicinity of Neunstadt, Germany. When Private First Class Meszaros’ platoon was returning from a reconnaissance, a member of the platoon lost his footing on a bridge and fell into the river.
