Maurice Williams was among the (at least) 139 American Prisoners of War executed by their Japanese captors at Puerta Princessa on the Island of Palawan, on December 14, 1944. That incident has come to be known as the “Palawan Massacre.”

    Sergeant Maurice Scott Williams, Jr (MCSN: 204006), United States Marine Corps, was captured by the Japanese after the fall of Corregidor on 6 May 1941, and was held as a Prisoner of War. He was executed by his captors at Palawan on 14 December 1944.
