    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918 (amended by an act of July 25, 1963), takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Captain Dino Michael Ragagli, Jr. (AFSN: FR-73723), United States Air Force, for gallantry in connection with military operations against an opposing armed force while serving with the 13th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Korat Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand, in action at Yen Bai, North Vietnam, on 19 July 1967. On that date, as an F-105F Electronics Warfare Officer/Navigator-Bombardier he attacked an important railroad marshalling yard. In spite of hostile defenses and intense ground fire, constant surface-to-air missile threat, and high power searchlights, he pressed the attack and placed his bombs on target. By his gallantry and devotion to duty, Captain Ragagli has reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal to Major Dino Michael Ragagli, Jr. (AFSN: FR-73723), United States Air Force, for meritorious service as an Electronic Warfare Officer, Special Assistant for Electronic Warfare, Headquarters, SEVENTH Air Force in the Republic of Vietnam while serving with friendly foreign forces in ground operations against an opposing armed force, from 19 November 1967 to 10 May 1968. During this period Major Ragagli’s consistently professional performance of his duties aided by his combat experience contributed greatly to the success of the Air Force electronic warfare program in Vietnam. Major Ragagli provided valuable insight in the development of tactics in the use of electronic warfare equipment to counter Surface-to-Air Missiles. The exemplary leadership, personal endeavor, and devotion to duty displayed by Major Ragagli in this responsible position reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.

    The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918 (amended by an act of July 25, 1963), takes pleasure in presenting a Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster in lieu of a Second Award of the Silver Star to Captain Dino Michael Ragagli, Jr. (AFSN: FR-73723), United States Air Force, for gallantry in connection with military operations against an opposing armed force while serving with the 13th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Korat Royal Thai Air Base, Thailand, in action over North Vietnam on 14 August 1967. On that date, Captain Ragagli, while flying under hazardous night weather condition, successfully found and destroyed his assigned target. After completion of the bombing run, he directed his pilot to a position where they could act as decoy for target defenses, enabling a mission support aircraft to detect and destroy a surface-to-air missile radar van. He then directed the aircraft through an attack on two high intensity searchlights resulting in their destruction. By his gallantry and devotion to duty, Captain Ragagli has reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
