(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Colonel Eugene Bernard LeBailly (AFSN: 1920A), United States Air Force, for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity in connection with military operations against the enemy while serving as Pilot of a B-26 Invader Night Attack Bomber and as Commanding Officer of the 3d Bombardment Group (Light), FIFTH Air Force, in action against the enemy in Korea in 1952. The gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty demonstrated by Colonel LeBailly, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
