Stanley Gorenc was born in Brezovica, Slovenia and immigrated to the United States in 1962. He graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy at Colorado Springs, Class of 1975. He retired in 2007 as a U.S. Air Force Major General. His younger brother Frank Gorenc graduated from the Air Force Academy with the Class of 1979 and became as a U.S. Air Force 4-Star General.
