The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Legion of Merit to Colonel Kenneth A. Inman (MCSN: 0-466), United States Marine Corps, for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services to the Government of the United States as commanding officer of a service group attached to the 1st Marine Amphibious Corps during operations at Bougainville from 15 November to 15 December 1943. Colonel Inman performed his duties with sound judgment and outstanding skill. His untiring enthusiasm and devotion to duty contributed materially to the success of our forces in this vital war area.
