The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Staff Sergeant Perry R. Keeton, United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an Airborne Electronics Supervisor with the 6990 Security Group on 1 January 1972. On that date, Sergeant Keeton’s alertness and immediate response in noting and acting upon a critical situation were extremely significant in the successful accomplishment of the Air Force mission in Southeast Asia. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Sergeant Keeton reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
