The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Second Lieutenant (Air Corps) Stanley Alpert, United States Army Air Forces, for extraordinary achievement while serving as Navigator of a heavy bomber of the 600th Bombardment Squadron, 398th Bombardment Group (H), in action over German occupied countries during World War II.
