Anderson (MCSN: 0-88761), United States Marine Corps, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism and extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight while serving as pilot of an EF-10B aircraft with VMCJ-1, Eleventh Marine Aircraft Group, FIRST Marine Aircraft Wing, on 2 December 1966 in the Republic of Vietnam.
