Anderson (NSN: 0-681108), United States Navy, was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for heroism and extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as bombardier/navigator of a jet attack aircraft, attached to and serving with Attack Squadron SIXTY-FIVE (VA-65), in U.S.S. CONSTELLATION (CVA-64), on 20 September 1966 in the Republic of Vietnam.
