The President of the United States of America, authorized by Executive Order 11046, 24 August 1962, takes pleasure in presenting the Bronze Star Medal (Army Award) to Lieutenant John Leaman, United States Navy, for exceptional and meritorious service while assigned as the Battalion Electronic Warfare Officer from 14 September 2007 to 15 May 2008, during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Lieutenant Leaman’s superb leadership, technical and tactical expertise, and commitment to excellence during combat operations contributed to the overwhelming success of the Command’s mission. His selfless service and dedication to duty are in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect distinct credit upon himself, the Multinational Division-Center and the United States Army.
