(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Chef de Battalion Henri Eugene Jules Roussel, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with 1st Group de Tabors Marocains, French Army, in action against enemy forces in Southern France, in August 1944. Chef de Battalion Roussel’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
