(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Captain Jacques Lefort, Army of France, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while serving with 1st Battalion de Choc, French Army, in action against enemy forces during the liberation of Toulon, France, in World War II. Captain Lefort’s outstanding accomplishments, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the Armed Forces of the Allied Nations.
