    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Silver Star to Major (Infantry) Leroy Ernest Frazier, United States Army, for gallantry in action while serving as Commanding Officer of an Infantry Battalion of the 405th Infantry Regiment, 102d Infantry Division, in action against the enemy in the European Theater of Operations in November 1944. Leading his battalion in an attack against a much larger enemy force, his battalion not only took the objective, but under Major Frazier’s leadership, held it under strong, continued enemy counterattacks. His gallant actions and dedicated devotion to duty, without regard for his own life, were in keeping with the highest traditions of military service and reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.

    (Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress July 9, 1918, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Service Cross to Lieutenant Colonel (Infantry) Leroy E. Frazier, United States Army, for extraordinary heroism in connection with military operations against an armed enemy while Commanding an Infantry Battalion of the 405th Infantry Regiment, 102d Infantry Division, in action against enemy forces in Germany, on 23 February 1945. When his unit was suddenly attacked and became completely disorganized, Colonel Frazier himself, under intensive enemy fire, reorganized the unit and so inspired them that they went on to repulse the enemy attack. Lieutenant Colonel Frazier’s extraordinary heroism, personal bravery and zealous devotion to duty exemplify the highest traditions of the military forces of the United States and reflect great credit upon himself, the 102d Infantry Division, and the United States Army.
