(Citation Needed) – SYNOPSIS: The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Soldier’s Medal to Private First Class Keith R. Langer, United States Army, for heroism at the risk of life not involving conflict with an armed enemy, on 24 June 1983, while a member of Battery B, 26th Field Artillery, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The exemplary courage and heroism displayed by Private First Class Langer reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Army.
