On that date, while attacking a heavily defended target, Major Reddoch deliberately drew fire from four surface-to-air missile sites in a successful effort to protect major friendly strike forces. Enduring intense anti-aircraft fire, he destroyed one missile site, twice re-entered the target area, and attacked two unfriendly aircraft in a desperate bid to aid two stricken friendly aircraft. By his gallantry and devotion to duty, Major Reddoch has reflected great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
