The President of the United States of America, authorized by Act of Congress, July 2, 1926, takes pleasure in presenting the Distinguished Flying Cross to Major Albert M. Freeman (AFSN: FV-3057429), United States Air Force, for extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4C Aircraft Commander over the Democratic Republic of Vietnam on 27 July 1967. On that date, while subject to intense anti-aircraft fire, Major Freeman located and destroyed a hostile supply and staging area in the southern panhandle of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. The loss of trucks and supplies suffered by hostile forces greatly hampered their movement into the Republic of Vietnam. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Major Freeman reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
