The President of the United States of America takes pleasure in presenting the Navy Cross to Commander (MC) Lucius W. Johnson, United States Navy, for distinguished service in the line of his profession when he took charge of the entire medical and surgical situation in the Dominican Republic following the disastrous hurricane of 3 September 1930.
